Ms. Alice Jewel Glover Largen, age 77, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Sunday morning, December 10, 2017, at her home surrounded by family and friends. A native of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, she lived in Huntsville for the last 26 years. She attended New Hope High School and she retired from Huntsville Hospital in Nov. 2009.
She was preceded in death by her father (Arthur Linnes Glover), mother (Everine Bradford Glover), two brothers (Harold Glover and Milton Glover), and one sister (Earline Glover Martin). Alice is survived by her daughter, Karen Largen Newsom (husband Frank Newsom); grandchildren Payton Ambrose, Evan Ambrose, Hope Ambrose, Jana Newsom and Fran Newsom; sister Inez Moore (Thomas R. Moore) and brother Murlen “Mutt” Glover (Jimmie Glover); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Berryhill Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive family and friends on Tuesday from 10:00 to 12:00. A service will follow at 12:00 at Berryhill. Interment will follow at Moon Cemetery, Owens Cross Roads. Pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Benny Martin, Todd Largen, Merlon Largen, Marvin Largen, and Jimmy Glover.
