Theodis Rumph, of the 1800 block of Springfield Ave., a retired maintenance man, died April 12, 1990, in a hospital.

Mr. Rumph, a native of Eufaula, Ala., retired from the city of Norfolk after 20 years. He was a former member of St. John AME Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include eight stepdaughters, Sadie M. Arrington of Long Beach, Calif., Gracie B. Arrington of Chesapeake, Brenda Banks of Quincy, Fla., and Eleanor Arrington, Teresa Arrington, Katherine Wright, Vernell Arrington and Doris Arrington, all of Norfolk; three stepsons, Sgt. Fredrick Arrington of Anchorage, James E. Arrington of Newark, N.J., and Wendell Arrington of Norfolk; and nine stepgrandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Graves Funeral Home by the Rev. June Kennel. Burial with military honors will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at 1812 Springfield Ave.
