Peggy Keiser Alford Massie, 69, of Glasgow, died Monday, November 22, 1999, in the Lucy Coor Nursing Home in Chesterfield. Mrs. Massie was born on November 22, 1930, in Rockbridge Co. and was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church, the Glasgow Women's Club and was a retired medical aid with the Lynchburg Training School and Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Douglas Massie. Mrs. Massie is survived by two daughters, Deborah Alford Ogden, and Dana Alford Gordon, both of Chesterfield; one son, Jerald David "Jay" Alford, Glasgow; two brothers, Horace Keiser, and Zane Keiser, both of Buena Vista; and six grandchildren, Missy and Jennifer Ogden, Berkley and Brittany Gordon, and Elizabeth and Jordan Alford. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 1999, from the Glasgow Baptist Church with the Rev. William M. Thomas officiating, with burial to follow in the Glasgow Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Glasgow Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
