WELL KNOWN STEPHEN CO. FARMER DIES – W.H. Sikes, 81, Resident in County 40 Years Buried Today
William H. Sikes, 81 years of age, died at his home between Parks and Wayland this morning at one o'clock.
Mr. Sikes is a well-known farmer of Stephens County, having resided in the county for the past 40 years. He outlived he wife by one year; Mrs. Sikes was buried in May, 1929.
Funeral services for Mr. Sikes were held at 4 o'clock this afternoon; he was interred in the Parks cemetery.
Mr. Sikes is survived by five sons, C.E., Wayland, L.D., W.T., J.A., Parks; three daughters, Mrs. C.W. Hart, Parks; Mrs. Vergie Sikes, Parks; Mrs. Will Gardner, Gerard. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
