Betty Ann Amsrud, 70, Winneconne, died peacefully at her home Friday, Jan. 1, 1993, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Chicago, the daughter of Earl and Helen Peterson Harr. She married Alfred G. Amsrud on Jan. 14, 1939, in Chicago. Betty was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Winchester. She retired from Fox Valley Technical College, Oshkosh, and enjoyed gardening, house-plants and traveling throughout the United States.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred, Winneconne; two sons Gary (Debbie) Amsrud of Greeley, Colo., and Jeffrey (Katy) Amsrud of Newberry, Mass.; one daughter, Judy (Richard) Vercauteren of Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Anna Madsen of Austin, Minn.; four grandchildren, Sue Trepanier, Donna Bergman and Jayna and Jennifer Amsrud; and six greatgrandchildren, (names omitted by contributor).
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, in Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Dahlin officiating. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial is being established.
