Eleven year old William Fasy, of 1808 Wylie st., was struck and killed at 18th st. and Girard ave. yesterday afternoon by an automobile in which a 16 year old boy was learning to drive. Police said Fasy ran into the street from between two parked cars in spite of an attempt of a passer-by to stop him.
Charges of manslaughter were lodged by police against the driver, Charles Press, of Westminster ave., near 41st st., and his brother-in-law, Elliot Kaplan, 23, of the same address. Kaplan, a licensed operator, was on his way with Press to a cemetery in Fox Chase. The latter had a learner's permit to drive.
