Margaret Irene Myers, 92, formerly of Fort Scott, died Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Lookout Point Nursing Home in Hollister, Missouri.
She was born, May 16, 1925 in Metz, Missouri the daughter of Guy and Irene McClintic Harryman.
She married Bill (W.S.) Myers in Fort Scott on October 15, 1944, he preceded her in death on December 3, 1990.
Margaret had worked as a Claims Processer for the Western Insurance Company for 23½ years and retired in 1984. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Scott.
She is survived by a son, Tom Myers of Blue Eye, Missouri, a brother, John Harryman of Fort Scott, a sister, Francis Threatt of Eugene, Oregon, 2 grandchildren, Patricia Myers and Christopher Myers and 3 great grandchildren, Tyler Pfeffer, William Myers and Katelyn Pfeffer. In addition to her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Guy F. Harryman Jr.
Rev. Steve Cole will officiate funeral services for Margaret Myers 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fort Scott National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church, and may be left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., P.O.
