James Brown, long time resident of Alcona County passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. H. Dellar at Killmaster, Monday, October 28th. Mr. Brown had been in ill health for several months.
James Brown was born in Canada July 12th, 1854. Mrs. Brown preceded him in death 21 years ago.
He is survived by two sons, Wilbur and LeRoy of Flint; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Adams of Mikado; Mrs. Laura Wilson of Flint, Mrs. Mabel Dellar, Killmaster; and Mrs. Elizabeth Stickle of Bay City.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from Carle's Funeral Home in Harrisville, Rev. C. S. Brown officiating. Burial in Springport Cemetery.
Acting as pallbearers were his six grandsons: Havilah Adams, Kenneth, Elmer and Clifford Dellar, Howard and Bernard Brown.
