D/O Unknown parents. W/O Joseph Silas Ames. They were married in 1889 and had their 4 children while still living in Iowa: Silas Joseph, Elmer William, Irene M and Marguerite (Margaret) Ames. The 1900 US Census has them in Rock Island, Illinois followed by a move to Texas where they lived for several years, before going to California when they were older. As Joseph worked for the railroad, their moves were most likely tied in with his job changes. Both Joseph & Josephine are buried in Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, TX with most of their children and their spouses.
