He was born July 30, 1952, in Orangeburg, SC, to the late Robert Seibert and Inez Pace Maier.
Jimmy is survived by his wife and best friend of 42 years, Mary Lois Culler Maier; three sons, James (Jimmy) Maier, Jr. (Julia), of Murrells Inlet, Aaron Maier (Rietta), of Orangeburg, and Lloyd Maier (Casey), of Murrells Inlet; one granddaughter, Leigha Maier; a brother, Charles Maier (Phyllis), of Irmo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert (Bob) Maier, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017, at 2 p.m., at Limestone United Methodist Church, Limestone Road, Wolfton Community, Orangeburg, SC, with the Rev. Don Studebaker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
