Abner found peace Friday, July 29, 2005. Surrounded by his family after a long bout with emphysema at the age of 90 years. His loving wife of 64 years, Valeah Catherine Rhea Dewalt preceded him in death. He is survived by 10 children: Barbara (Albert) Johnson, Kenneth (Regina) Dewalt, Raymond (Annie) Dewalt, Veatrice Baugh (James), Mary Darling, Valata Dewalt Butler, Janice (Ovet) Hughes, Jacqueline Dewalt, Georgia Dewalt, Tamara Dewalt; 26 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. His loving presence will be dearly missed. Funeral was held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park - Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 West Capitol Drive. In state Saturday 10:00 AM at the Chapel of the Chimes. The family is served by: NORTHWEST FUNERAL CHAPEL - O'BEE, FORD & FRAZIER - 6630 West Hampton Avenue.
