MAUDE ELLA EDGAR
Maude Ella, daughter of Solomon W. and Mary Elizabeth (Slaughter) Wiseman was born May 27, 1904 in Marceline and died Tuesday evening, Jan. 4, 1977 at her home.
She married Charles Henry Edgar on Mar. 27, 1927 in Marceline, and they were the parents of four children.
Surviving are her husband, Charles of the home; two sons, Dale Edgar of Browning, and Dean Edgar of Marceline; one daughter, Ruth Farris of Marceline; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ernest Wiseman and a daughter, Ruby Edgar.
Mrs. Edgar was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church where she had served as financial secretary for several years. She also served on the Marceline Co-Ordinated Welfare Board, Marceline Communtiy Chest and had helped as Pink Lady at the St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 7 at the Bethany Baptist Church. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Marceline under the direction of McLaughlin-Rhodes Funeral Home.
