Allen E. Boecker, 95, formerly of Converse, died Monday, November 27, 2017.

Allen was born October 14, 1922 to Otto and Alma Zipp Boecker in the Leissner Community south of Seguin. His first years of school were at Rural Leissner schools and he then graduated from Seguin High School in 1940. After high school he went to Draughns Business College in San Antonio, Texas.

During WWII he was stationed at Randolph Base in the Army Air Corps. After the war he began Civil Service as a Commissary Officer at Randolph AFB. After 35 years he retired in 1976.

Allen met the love of his life, Lucille, at a dance at Luxcello Hall in 1943. They were married March 25, 1944, throughout their marriage they continued to dance, have great friends, raise a family and enjoy each other.

Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille.

He is survived by his children, Brian and his wife, Laura and Garnette and her husband Dale; grandchildren: Morgan and husband, Nathan; Jordan; Lauren and husband Garrett; Walker; Emily; and Logan. Sister, Verlin; and sister-in-law, Rena; and brother-in-law, Wallace and wife, Evaleen.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 am Saturday, December 3 at Colonial Funeral Home funeral services to follow at 10 am then interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Colonial is located at 625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
