Leo Cad Laprarie Sr. of Pueblo, Colo., passed away in Center Point, La., on Nov. 25, 2017, at the age of 87. Born March 11, 1930, in Center Point, La., Leo is survived by his wife, Ina Crooks Laprarie; children, Leo (Janice) Laprarie Jr., Sharon (Charles) Grasmick and Michelle (Bryan) Weimer; stepchildren, Cynthia (Bob) Dewey, Angela Crooks and Gilbert Wayne Crooks; brothers, Sam Laprarie Jr., Tim Laprarie; and sister, Myrt Broderick. Leo also is survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Laprarie, wife, Florance Laprarie; infant son, Steve; parents, Sam and Belle Laprarie; brothers, Roy, Azery, Alvin, Fred and Franklin; sisters, Alma, Mildred and Aleen; and one step-granddaughter. He served in the United States Army, and worked at Dana Corp. in Pueblo from 1955 until he retired in 1987. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Blende. Rosary, 9:20 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., both Friday, Dec. 1, at St. Joseph Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. See full obituary online at roselawnpueblo.org.
