Permelia was the daughter of Ezekiel Mallory and unknown mother. She married Greenberry Cox 11 Jan 1827 and to this union at least 10 children were born: William, Thomas, Francis, Elizabeth, Mary, Permelia/Amelia, John, Jane, Jesse and Georgiann. Permelia's death notice states that she died Oct 13 and that she was buried in the Hurt graveyard. Her tombstone reads Oct 7 and is found in Asbury. Although her stone was removed to Asbury, I believe her remains are still in Finnell, the same as her husband.
