His parents emigrated from England to Lunenburg County, Virginia Colony in 1750 with their three sons, Nathaniel Jr., Walter Manning and Thomas. Two more sons John Edward and Francis were born in Virginia Colony.


Born about 1753 in Louisa County, Virginia Colony; married an unknown spouse [Chisolm] about 1783; died after 1820. His name is shown on 1820 Census.
