MRS. GEORGE EVERMAN
(1882-1957)

Mrs. Martha Everman, 75, of Fullerton, died at 12:24 a.m. Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lynette Brehl, of Columbus.

Mrs. Everman was the wife of George Everman.

She was born in Carter County, Ky., July 4, 1882, a daughter of the late Marion and Angeline Adkins Dowdy.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Everman is survived by a son, James Everman, of South Shore; four daughters, Mrs. Brehl, Mrs. Dovie Ishmael and Mrs. Grace Spradlin, all of Columbus, and Mrs. Sally Maupin, of Mt. Vernon, Ky.

Also surviving are three brothers, WIllie Dowdy of Greenup, Sherman Dowdy of Soldier, Ky., and Stanton Dowdy of McDowell, Ky.; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Alexander and Mrs. Ella Craycraft of Grayson, Ky., Mrs. Emma Beatty of Buena Vista, and Mrs. Cora Alexander, of Massalona, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Everman was preceded in death by her parents and two sons.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at King's Addition Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. George Galloway will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Roberson Funeral Home. Friends may call at the home of the son, James, at South Shore.
