Bernice Bridges, 86, of Clay City, died at 1:23 p.m., Monday, Dec. 4, 1989, at the Flora Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 pim., Wednesday, at the Hosselton, Bookhout and Engelmeier Funeral Home, Clay City. Visitation will be at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dillman Cemetery.

Mrs. Bridges was born on Aug. 10, 1903, in Sailor Springs, the daughter of Baldy and Josephine (Noll) Franklin. She married Tom Bridges in 1937. She was a member of the Clay City Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband; five brothers, Willie of Bethalto, Nolan of Flora, Roy and Orris, both of Clay City, Malbert of Sailor Springs; two sisters, Norma Abbott of Clay City and Hazel Hill Smith of Sailor Springs.

She was preceded in death by one sister.
