Jeannette D. Lavoie of Charlestown, NH and previously of Claremont, NH died November 25, 2017 at Springfield Health & Rehab in Springfield, VT. She was born in Hanover, NH on April 2, 1931 the daughter of Modeste and Fernande (Carignan) Dupuis.

She was a graduate of Lebanon High School.

Jeannette was the widow of Louis S. Lavoie whom she married on November 8, 1952.

She was a member of the Women's Catholic Club. She enjoyed baking, sewing, square-dancing, drawing and playing cards with Sandy and Floyd Cornish. She had a booth in the Newport flea market where she sold her baked goods.

She had been a telephone operator before she was married. When her and Louis lived in Newport, NH she was a crossing guard.

Her family meant the world to her and family holidays.

The family includes two sons, Brian G. Lavoie of Claremont and Darrell S. Lavoie of Windsor, VT; four daughters, Judith Shambo of Windsor, VT, Susan Eagles and her husband, Bill of Arkansas, Cheryl Brown of Chester, VT and Michelle Parker of Virginia; a brother, Robert Dupuis and his wife, Judy of Plainfield; also, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, two sons-in-law, Robert R. Shambo and Robert Parker.

Interment for Louis and Jeannette will be in St Mary Cemetery.
