He enjoyed watching old movies, roping, going to rodeos and play days and also enjoyed driving around on dirt roads. Most especially he loved cook outs with his family and friends. He was of the Assembly of God faith.
Van was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Linn; his father, Jerry William Linn; his mother, Billie Ruth Strickland; son, Van Wesley Linn, Jr; grandmother, Lillian Rogers and his great grandmother, Viola Marie Gray.
