Fred Wegner, brother of Aug. Wegner died at his home southwest of this city last Thursday, and was buried on Friday from St. Luke's German Evangelical church, Rev. Otto Heerwagen, the pastor, conducting the service . Mr. Wegner was one of the staid and staunch men of this locality, kin d and obliging, and had a host of friends who are grieved at his death . He was not yet 70 years of age. Some time ago he ran a splinter in on e foot, and later submitted to a surgical operation for the removal of t he great toe of the injured foot.
