Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. June Aswell Young, 80, of Farmerville, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 26, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Johnny Hankins and Bro. Richard Turnley officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatricks Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Young was born on June 27, 1937, in Winnsboro, LA to John Henry and Mary Jane Aswell, and passed away on November 22, 2017. She loved taking care of her family and was always involved in her familys activities. Mrs. Young enjoyed reading and was a lover of animals. She and her mother-in-law had a relationship to that of Naomi and Ruth in the Bible. Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Louis, Clifford, J.B., Sidney and Allen Aswell; and her sister, Oraline Nichols.
Survivors include her husband, Fred E. Young; daughter, Freda Courson and husband, Eddie; grandson, Jay McCormick; sisters, Pauline McCurley and Christine Lofton; along with numerous nieces and nephews and special nieces.
Pallbearers will be Larry McCurley, Keith Maxwell, Andrew Brown, Ronnie Chilton, Joey Young, Todd Young, Robert Truett Jr. and James Truett.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Frederick Jones, Jonathan Pettis, Daniel Lofton, Jr., Len McCaa, Glenn Harris, Gary Truett, Justin Young and Josh Young.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday.
