Clara's parents Seth Ausburn Goodwin married Sarah Emeline Shingleton in 1893, Taylor County, WV.

Mrs. Frank Clark of Bridgeport, Ohio was informant on his death certificate which indicates he was divorced.

Nathan served in World War I, July 1, 1918 to November 25, 1918, Private 4th Co, 1st Battalion, 155th Regiment, Depot Brigade.

A military headstone was applied for in 1941 by Fred L Goodwin.
