After a lingering illness of two months, D.S. Price, 63, one of our most highly esteemed citizens, died at his home in the Gooseneck Bend Community, five miles south of Graham. The Masonic Lodge of which he was a worthy member officiated his graveside rites in the Oak Grove cemetery.

The evening before he died, he called the members of his family to his bedside and bid each one goodbye, and to the younger son, who is to take charge of the farm and look after the mother and three little girls, he went into details regarding every business matter and the care and responsibility resting upon so young a man as head of a family. He was a consistent member of the Christian Church and lived a life in accordance with the teachings of the Bible as he understood them.

Survived by a devoted wife; 11 children, all of whom were present except one.
