Betty Jean (Flynn) Stanton, 82, of Baxter, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Betty was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee on Friday, July 12, 1935 to the late Reba Dell (Maddux) Bain and Major Earl Flynn.

Betty was a loving Wife, Mom, Mamma, and great Mamma. She loved Elvis, UT Football, the Atlanta Braves, and Gospel music. Betty's greatest gifts were caring for others and giving of herself.

Betty is survived by:

Son: Bobby Stanton of Baxter, Tennessee

2 Daughters: Billie and Jeff Barnes of Lebanon, Tennessee
Brenda Stanton of Nashville, Tennessee

2 Grandchildren: Christie and Jason George of Lebanon, Tennessee
Matthew and Melissa Barnes of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee

2 Great-Grandchildren: Lucas and Isla George

2 Brothers: Billy Rhea and Katherine Flynn of Hopkinsville, Kentucky
Earl Wayne and Tommie Flynn of Nashville, Tennessee

Sister: Jo Ann Fields of Hopkinsville, Kentucky

A host of nieces, nephews, and family.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by: Husband, Billy James Stanton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Betty Jean Stanton will be held at the Crest Lawn Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 with Johnny Markham officiating. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
