Blossom Byington
Blossom Byington, 90, devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed peacefully on November 16, 2017. She was born in Houston on December 7, 1926 and remained in the area her entire life. In 1946, Blossom married Sammy, the love of her life and cherished 59 wonderful years together. Blossom and Sam had five children: Sue Ward and husband Will of Midland, Sam Byington and wife Cheryl of Houston, Julie Smith of Houston, Barry and wife Sheree' of Arlington, and Laurie Taska and husband Al of Kingwood. Blossom is survived by her five children, her sister, Linda Jones of Houston, and twelve grandchildren; Jason, Natalie, Karen, Alison, Julia, Barry, Samantha, Aimee, Sammy, Taylor, Garrison, and Will Jr. and predeceased by infant granddaughters Bailey and Chelsey. Blossom is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren, and three nieces.
Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow, both at Forest Park Lawndale.
