Charles Strout died Feb. 7 after a long illness. He was confinded to his bed only a short time. The funeral was held Feb. 9. Carl Duran preached the sermon. The flowers were beautiful.

Charles W. Strout 70, a life long resident died at his home after a long decline.
He was the son of Morrill and Mary Strout, of a pleasant disposition, and highly regarded. He was long a member of the Charleston Grange.
He leaves his wife, five sons: Milford, Perley, Ralston and Harold, all of Charleston, and George of Bucksport; two daughters, Mrs. Cleveland Smith of this town and Mrs. Henry Robbins of Waterville. There are 35 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
