Arturo, a resident of Cañones, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his father Serafin Valdez; and in-laws Genaro and Eva Velasquez.
Arturo was survived by his wife Aurelia Valdez; children: Arturo Valdez (Candie) and Angela Valdez (Rigo); grandson whom he raised and loved dearly, Andrew Valdez; mother Lucy Valdez; brother Martin Valdez (Georgia); sisters: Dolores Valdez and Higinia Gallegos (Luis); Leroy Gonzales whom he loved dearly; very dear best friend, Steven Serrano; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Public visitation and Rosary were on 17 November 2017 at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Cañones. Mass of Christian burial was on 18 November 2017 also at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Cañones. Burial followed at the Family Ranch in Cañones. Pallbearers: Arturo Valdez, Andrew Valdez, Leroy Gonzales, Steven Serrano, Rigo Garcia, Marty Valdez, Wilfred Villapando, Isaiah Velasquez, Kenneth Lovato and Mike Soberanes.
