Bobbie Jean (Jamar) Dean Richardson

Bobbie Jean Richardson of Lufkin, was born December 1, 1934 in Houston, TX, the daughter of the late Ruby Ellein (Marks) and Clyde Houston Jamar, and passed away November 17, 2017 in Newton. Her service will be held November 20, 2017 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in the Brookside Cemetery in Houston.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She retired from Angelina College where she served as the Fine Arts secretary for over 15 years. She also taught Defensive Driving for over 10 years. She was a very giving person, loved to volunteer and was very involved in the community and she loved to dance. She was a long time member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele Dean Dycus and husband, Wetzel; grandson, Gary Waldrop; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter, Debra Ann Dean (*)Schultz; son, T. D. Dean; and sisters, Maza Poole and Dixie O'Briant.
