Mr. Brown attended Pine Village High school and moved to Frankfort from Oxford in 1947. He was a section foreman for Nickel Plate Railroad 23 years and a purchasing supervisor for Frankfort City Light & Power 21 years. He was a member and trustee of Kilmore United Methodist Church and president of its Men's Association.
He was born Dec. 19, 1917, in Benton County to John Henry and Claudia Ethel Thomas Brown. He married Ruth Dorothy Anderson on Oct. 2, 1939, and she died Sept. 22, 1998.
Surviving are four sons, Joseph (Jody) of Moneta, Va., Phillip (Mary) of Frankfort, Frederick (Grace) of rural Frankfort and Kenneth (Gloria) of Rapid City, S.D.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
