Courtney Bobbitt, of Fredonia, passed away on Monday, November 13, at the age of 37.

Courtney was born in Brady on April 18, 1980 to Rodney Purser and Valetta Bockelman Purser. She was a graduate of Mason High School and in 2000 she married Joe Wayne Bobbitt.

Courtney worked as a concrete batcher for Lauren Concrete. She was known to be a hard worker on the job and “on the job” at home.

Courtney was a great mom who took the time to make sure her children grew up to be loving, caring men. Courtney spent countless hours going to sporting events her children participated in. Her children meant everything to her. In her spare time, Courtney loved being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping at the river.

Courtney is survived by her sons Devon Bobbitt and friend Jayde, Joe N. Bobbitt, Gunner Bobbitt and Leroy Bobbit all of Fredonia, a daughter Chaston of Decatur, Texas, her parents Rodney and Valetta Purser of Brady, a sister Wendi Landeros and husband Tony of Richland Springs a brother Matt Pursera and wife Sandra of El Paso, grandmother Virginia Mann of Austin and Courtney’s fiance` Michael Prosise of Fredonia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Wayne Bobbitt in 2010.

Visitation with the family will be at Mason Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery at Camp Air.
