Mr. Norman “Joe Ben” Wright, age 83, passed away at McLeod Hospice House. He was born in Lancaster, SC a son of Ernest Wright and Eva Mae West Wright. He was 1st married to Ruby Evelena Watts Wright and is now married to Mildred Craig Wright. He retired from Springs Industries and served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was an avid quail hunter, deer hunter and fisherman. He served as an Umpire for the Dixie Youth Baseball and church softball teams. He was a longtime member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and is currently a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was preceded by a daughter Jeannie Wright; 6 brothers Baby Boy Wright, John Wright, Fred Wright, Jim Wright, Eulece Wright, Clyde Wright and 6 sisters Mae Belle Bundy, Ardeth Wright, Ruth Mills, Rena Beckham, Chloe Carnes and Kay Rush.
