Eli David Pumpkin, son of John Buffington and Violet Elizabeth (Thompson) Pumpkin was born July 27, 1939 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on November 18, 2017, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 22 days.

He married the love of his life Barbara Marie Davis on January 26, 1962 and to this union 2 children were born; Shelly and Eli David Jr. He enjoyed riding horses, time on the farm with his cattle, going to the sale barn and coop, drinking coffee with the guys at CV's but most of all he enjoyed time spent with family especially his grandkids whom he had such a bond.

Eli David was saved and baptized in 1952. He graduated from Cave Springs High School and attended Northeastern State University. Eli David also served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He retired as the Plant Manager from Mrs. Smith's Bakery after over 42 years of employment.

He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Violet Pumpkin, brother; Charles Buffington Pumpkin and brother in law; Jimmy Earl Owens.
