Layton, UT-Charles Dean Lallis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who passed away at his son’s home in Syracuse on November 16, 2017, from natural causes.

  He was preceded in death by his parents Evan George Lallis and Amy Maude Briggs, his wife Dorothy Leone Neilson, his siblings, Grant, Martha, LaRue, and Lorraine.

  He spent 10 years in the Air Force as an MP and Load Master. He was proud to serve his country.

Dean met the love of his life Dorothy in Bountiful where they dated and were married on Oct 13, 1949. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple and celebrated 64 amazing years together.

  Dean was an incredible father to his 3 children Claudeen (Bud) Wiser, Deborah (Craig) Welch, and Charles S. “Chuck” (Wendy) Lallis; and was a beloved grandfather to his 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He devoted his whole life to his family and his faith. He was a quiet and gentle man who touched the hearts of the people that knew him. He had a way of making you laugh even though he kept a straight face.

 Graveside services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. 

Friends may visit with family from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.
