Fran Anderson Crouch, 77, of McGregor, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2007, in Temple. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, in McGregor, with the Rev. Buddy Sipe officiating. Interment will follow at Crawford Cemetery.

Fran was born July 1, 1929, in Bruceville, Texas, to the late James Spencer and Lucille Elizabeth (Sutton) Brookshire. She was reared in the Lorena area where she began her education. In 1946, she graduated from Bruceville High School. On March 27, 1955, she married Bobby James Anderson in Waco. When Bobby was drafted into the United States Army, the couple spent two years in Colorado Springs and Detroit, Michigan. Upon returning to McGregor, they started their family and business, Anderson Oil and Tire. She owned and operated "The Butterfly" Boutique and Hair Salon for several years. She enjoyed people, decorating her home and keeping her yard. In 1991, she opened the Carriage House Antiques on 31st and Waco Drive. In November 1996, she retired. On Nov. 2, 1996, she married James Marshall Crouch.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby, on Sept. 21, 1990; sons, Gregory Anderson on Aug. 4, 1958, and Jeffrey Bob Anderson on July 2, 1984; sister, Billy Louise; and brother, James Spencer Brookshire, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, James Marshall Crouch, Jr.; son, Brett James Anderson; daughter, Aletha George and husband, Sherman; grandchildren, Matthew Anderson, BreAna Anderson, Casey George and wife, Jade, and Clinton George and wife, Natalie; step-children, Shelly and A.W. Reese, James Marshall, III, Paula Crouch and Celestia and Bruce Winkler; two step-granddaughters; and two step-grandsons.
