Home builder, general contractor. His family became members of Grace Lutheran Church-Raleigh, NC in Jan 1975. He was a Petty Officer Second Class in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict, serving as a Torpedo-man on the submarine U.S.S. Harder. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
