Boe, Daryl Wayne Boe, age 82, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013. He was born in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota to the late Edward and Agnes Boe. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, retired from Asplundh Tree Company after 45 years of dedicated service, and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce and brother in-law Dewey Ostlund. He is survived by children, Kelly (Kathy) Boe, Kris (Donnie) Hoover, and Karla (Sam) Wallace; grandchildren, Bethany (Drew) Montenaro, Aimee Hoover, Caitlynn Hoover, Sara Boe, and Andrea Boe; siblings, Beverly (Forrest) Thibideau, Jack (Vonnie) Boe, and Ginger Ostlund; and many nieces and nephews. Daryl was a talented woodworker and loved music. He was well liked, dependable, and a wonderful provider for his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to know him. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 7 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio. Pastor Mark Diemer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
