Lloyd E. Towslee

Lloyd E. Towslee, 84, Topeka, died Saturday Feb. 8, 1998, at a Topeka retirement home.
He was born Dec. 30, 1913 in Topeka. the son of Roy Edmond and Tina Anderson Towslee, and was graduated from Topeka High School. He worked in shipyards in Oakland, Calif. during World War II. He was self-employed as a carpenter and painting contractor. He also was a wallpaper hanger for Design Forum.

He was married to Anita Clara Spencer Dec. 4, 1953, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Sue Garrett, San Diego; a stepson, Darwin "Butch" Spencer, Topeka; brothers, Harold Towslee and Roy Robert Towslee, both in Topeka; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Towslee was cremated. No services are planned. Private inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
