Abigale "Abbie" Maud Bittner was born Oct. 7, 1859 at Lock Haven, PA to Ely Bittner and Lucy. She was married to Alvin Bartley.

Abbie died Nov. 3, 1934.

Mrs. Abbie Maude Bartley, widow of Alvin W. Bartley, died Saturday evening at 6:15 o’clock at herhome, 109 1/2 East Main Street, after an illness with paralysis following a stroke which she suffered April 19. She had improved somewhat but a few days ago suffered another stroke.
She was 75 years of age and was a lifelong resident of this city, being the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eli Bittner. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Survivors include three sons, Harry E., Omaha, Neb.; Charles F., and Thomas R., Philadelphia; three grandsons, five great grandchildren, and two brothers, George W. Bittner, this city, and Charles Bittner, State College.
The body will remain at her home until tomorrow morning when it will be removed to St. John’s Lutheran Church where it will lie until 2:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon when funeral services will be conduced by Dr. Curvin H. Stein. Burial will be made in the Dunnstown Cemetery.
