Frank Hines of Fontana, born in Big Pine, lived in Fontana for 50 years, died Wednesday at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland at the age of 88; the cause of death is unknown, pending a doctor's report. He was a maintenance worker for California Air National Guard for 14 years and was survived by his wife, Margaret, a son, William Michael of Fontana, two daughters, Geraldin Zabriskie of Hesperia and Florence Marie Merrill of Poulsbo, Washington, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at noon on Friday at Montecito Memorial Chapel with burial in Montecito Memorial Park in Colton.
