Faye Castile, age 79, transferred to Heaven’s Chapter on 10 November 2017.

Nora Faye Parks, born 3 August 1938 in Fitzgerald, Ben Hill County, Georgia, is the daughter of Sadie Louise Butler and Murray Arthur Parks. She married Harold Dean Castile and raised their family in Middleburg, Florida. For many years Faye was teacher at Middleburg High School and inspired many students in the field of mathematics.

For those who knew Faye, we loved the twinkle in her eye, her kind and loving heart to all she met, her adventurous spirt, her patriotism, and her love of laughter and fun. In simple words she was a gentle soul.

Faye became a member of the Elizabeth Coulter Gaines Chapter 2007, UDC on 15 December 1972 following in the footsteps of her great aunts on the service record of her great-great grandfather, Green Nelson, who served in the Confederate States Army, Company A, 20th Georgia Cavalry. Faye served as Chapter President numerous times before becoming Florida Division President in 2004, serving until 2006. Faye transferred to Martha Reid Chapter 19 on 31 August 2001 after her chapter disbanded. Faye was a 45 year member of the United Daughter of the Confederacy Organization and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A private service will be held later at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.Nora Faye Parks was the second born child of Murray Arthur Parks and Sadie Louise Butler Parks. She had two sisters Margaret Parks Schu (husband Herbert Schu) and Frances "Bunny" Parks Akins (husband Arnold Ray Akins) and two brothers Murray Arthur Parks, Jr. and William Sweetland Parks.

Nora Faye was married to Harold Dean Castile in 1960 in Manchester, Georgia, and they had one son Joseph David Castile.
