Mrs. Lottie Jasper, wife of Elmer Jasper, of North McAlester, died last Saturday morning at the home of her brother, Carl Berneathy, north of this city, following a long period of indifferent health. However, she had been seriously ill only about two weeks. The deceased was 34 years of age and besides her husband, she is survived by six children, two boys and four girls. Other surviving members of the family are her father and mother, a brother, Carl, and three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Brown, of Myra, La., Mrs. Beatrice Barker of Durant, and Mrs. Cora Woodley, of North McAlester. Mrs. Woodley and Mrs. Brown were at her bedside at the time of her death, as also her father, H. W. Berneathy, of Jack Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Jasper, parents of the bereaved husband, were also present, as were a brother, Terrell Jasper of Dallas, Tex., and a sister, Mrs. Rose Chambers, of Lewisville, Tex. Funeral services were held from the family residence in North McAlester, Sunday afternoon, in charge of Rev. Jones, pastor of the Christian Church of Hartshorne. The funeral services were attended by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
