Services for Agnes Janie Shannon Dennis, 62, of 1400 Bella Vista Drive will be held at noon Friday at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of South Carolina. Mrs. Dennis, wife of the late Clinton G. Dennis Jr., died Tuesday, March 16, 1993. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Taylor Shannon and Laura Janie Blizzard Shannon. She was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church of Bythewood and attended First Church of God on Covenant Road. Surviving are daughters, Patricia Ann Dennis of Columbia, Barbara Jane Cress of Pelion and Gina Marie Whitehead of Bryan, Texas; sons, Charles Richard Dennis and Clinton Dennis III, both of Columbia; a sister, Betty Traynum of Liberty; and six grandchildren. © The State, Columbia, SC, 18 Mar 1993
