ARP - Services for Lester Roy Andrews, 75, Arp, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton, with the Revs. Terry Davis and Dr. Ron Klingsick officiating.

Burial will be in Mason Cemetery, Arp.

Mr. Andrews died March 17, 2007, at his residence.

He was born June 5, 1931, in Jena, La., to the late Sullivan S. and Annie M. Bradford Andrews. He grew up in Jena, La., where he attended public schools. He moved to Arp in 1956, retired from Baker-Altech-Justiss Oil Co. after more than 30 years of service, and was a longtime member of Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Elizabeth Nicole Boyd; brothers, his twin Louie Andrews and Sam Andrews; and sisters, Ophelia Tarver and Mary L. Crooks.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Bettye Ann Goetzman Andrews, Arp; daughters, Janet Kellum, Tyler, and Sharon Pratt, Arp; son, Mark Andrews Sr., New Chapel Hill; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are D. Mike Crooks, Steve Andrews, Craig Kellum, Paul Ferguson, Casey Boyd and Mark Andrews Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Stephen Pratt, W.F. Allen, Don Musslewhite, Ed Parish, M.D. "Jack" Jackson, and members of Nudgers Sunday School Class.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
