∼BUCYRUS: Adair D. Schiefer, 84 years of age, of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday at 12:37 am in Altercare of Bucyrus.
Adair was born June 30, 1928 in Marion to the late Herbert and Mildred (Prinn) Durtschi. She was married for 47 years to Daniel "Woody" Schiefer who preceded her in death on December 13, 2006. She was also preceded in death by sister, Phyllis Newbauer and brother, Herbert Durtschi.
Adair is survived by two sons, Kai (Daphene Stamper) Schiefer and Kirk Schiefer both of Bucyrus; grandchildren, Tara, Daniel, Karlie, and Kerrie; and brother, Fritz Durtschi of Galion.
Adair retired from the Bucyrus City Health Dept. in 1991 where she served as Registrar. She graduated from Galion High School in 1946 where she was the first homecoming Queen. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, the ladies of the Moose, Am. Legion Post 181, and she enjoyed crocheting.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday at 8:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Am. Cancer Society or the Gifts for Yanks.
