Jess J. Hembree, 82, a retired painter who moved to Phoenix in 1936, died Tuesday in St. Luke's Hospital.
Mr. Hembree was a member of Painters Union Local 86. He was born in Kansas, and had no known survivors.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Grimshaw's Palms Chapel, 334 W. Monroe. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
