Burl F. Anderson Sr., 64, of Lorain, died Saturday at Wade Park V.A. Hospital, Cleveland, after a long illness.

Born in Myria, Ky., where he attended local schools, he came to Lorain in 1951.

Mr. Anderson was formerly employed as a crane operator at U.S. Steel Corporation (USX), Lorain.

An Army veteran of World Ward II, he served in New Guinea and in the Philippine Liberation.

he was a member of Church of Christ, Lorain.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Stella Mae (nee Pass), to whom he was married 43 years; sons, Jack of Las Vegas, Nev., Burl F. jr., of Lorain and John of Elyria; daughters, Mary Sue Dodds of California, Teresa Ann Kenzik of Lorain, and Melinda Barker of Vermilion; 12 grandchildren and six sisters.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Emil Dovala Funeral Home, Lorain.
