Lynda Dodson of Benbrook, Texas earned her eternal rest on November 2, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

A celebration of Lynda's life will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP at [email protected] for details.

Lynda began her career in the Electrical Contracting Industry as a helper and quickly fought her way up the ladder in a journey that encompassed more than 40 years. As a project manager, she was responsible for millions of dollars in successful projects and took pride in making sure the customers were always placed first and that quality was never compromised.Her pursuit of education was always a priority and she held Master Electrician licenses in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. She steadfastly counseled and encouraged younger electricians to better themselves by studying, testing and acquiring licenses.

Lynda was an extremely hard worker and freely accepted any task, willingly taking on the most challenging projects and volunteering countless hours of her time.

She was active in the Independent Electrical Contractors of both Dallas and Fort Worth and the National Association for Women in Construction. Although she primary worked in the Dallas office, her true love was the city of Fort Worth. She was passionate about the city and it's history and managed many projects there in her career.Donations to her legacy may be made to the Scholarship Fund at National Association of Women in Construction, Dallas Chapter #2, at nawic-dallas.org.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.K. Dodson, siblings, Peggy Dodson and Jack Dodson, and son, Joshua Houston Spear.Survivors: Daughter, Wendy Fitzgerald; and a host of lifelong friends and co-workers.
