Mr. Wolf, 91, Jerico Springs, a truck driver and Korean veteran, died Friday, Oct 27, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. He was born on a farm near Jerico Springs to Fred and Alta Wolf.

He attended grade school at Cedar Hall for eight years, and graduated from Jerico High School in 1943. He went to Kansas City at age 19 and worked for Safeway Inc. He was a member of teamster union 955 as a truck driver for 43 years until age 62.

He retired in 1988 and moved back to Cedar County on a farm he purchased in 1950 from his grandfather, Henry Wolf.

He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, 1950-1952. He married Helen Shellhorn Nov. 14, 1954, at Fairview Church, and two children were born of the union. He was baptized at Merriam Bible Church, was a member of Woodson Avenue Bible Church, Overland Park, Kansas, and attended Stockton Christian Church.

Survivors include his children, Mark Wolf of Shawnee, Kansas, and Lynda Gill or Merriam, Kansas; a grandson, Samuel Baker of Merriam, Kansas; and a great-granddaughter, Dakota Baker of Merriam, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his brother, sister, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
