Charles was born September 29, 1932, in Johnston County to the late Charlie and Omie Boykin Bailey. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the Bailey Family Cemetery.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Janet Woodard Bailey; daughter, Kelly Bailey Carter of Siler City; brother, Harold Bailey and wife Maryann; sisters, Gracie Bunn, Algie Dehart, Alice Holland, Jay Creech, and Esther Pierce; grandchildren, Tre Newell, Jacob Carter, and Lia Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ransom Bailey.
